Member Frank White asked a question that centered around the various funds held by the federation. So Tony stated, once again for all in attendance that no funds to operate the federation are taken from the tournament account. Separate accounts have been established in order to properly administer federation monies. There are 4 accounts presently in use by the federation they are:
1)Tournament Account-used to pay for tournament operations
2)Team Account-used to pay for Teams that go away to Team tournaments
3)General Account – Used to pay for the every day operations, supported through raffles, sale of items etc…
4)Youth Account – Used to pay for and support Youth events and participation at the National level.
Tony, also explained that over the past two years our board suggested to reduce the team account funds because they were much higher than they should be, so the Federation paid the entire Memberships dues to the TBF the first year (2006) and held a No Fee Team tournament (2007) in order to maintain account balances at the right level.
